RepoCharge is now live! 🎉

I'm very excited to announce that RepoCharge is now officially ready for use! Below is a very basic introduction on what RepoCharge is.

What is RepoCharge?

The idea behind this platform is very simple. It's a platform that allows you to charge people for access to your private GitHub repositories. RepoCharge integrates with your Stripe and GitHub account. If you're a creator, or a developer who wants to monetize their code, this platform is for you! We support both one-time and recurring payments*.

*Recurring payments are only available for the Premium membership plan, and one-time payments require at least the Basic membership plan.

Why I created RepoCharge

If you've ever watched my videos on YouTube, you know that I have some of my videos' source code limited to my Patreon members. This not only supports me as a creator, but encouraged viewers watching the video to not copy-paste the code.

However, Patreon is by no means a perfect platform for this. Matter of fact, most creator-based are not ideal for this situation. I've noticed devs zipping up their code and sharing it with their members (this is what I do), which is not convenient especically when you're updating your codebase frequently. This gave me the idea to create a platform that allows you to charge your audience for access to your GitHub repositories instead of a .zip file, and that's how RepoCharge was made!

Pricing

Unlike other platforms out there, I did not want this platform to have monthly subscriptions. Instead, you only pay once! The price starts at $4.99 and goes up to $19.99 (USD). Different membership plans have different features. You can always upgrade your plan later on. You can read more in the pricing page.

Rest assured, we have a 7-day refund policy, so if you're not happy with the platform, you can always get your money back. Just send an email and we'll take care of it.

Future plans

I've made a lot of updates since the initial beta launch and I have quite a few plans for this platform going into the future (some are already in development). But first, I'd like to hear from you. What happens to the beta users?

If you were a beta user, you may know that your memebership was previously free. However, this has been reset since our merchant of record approval. This means you'll have to pay for a membership plan to continue using the platform.
